Rename the following:
c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution
c:\windows\winsxs\pending.xml
c:\windows\winsxs\cleanup.xml
Reboot the pc and you should be good in a few minutes.

Some computers have been coming in stuck at 3 of 3 with 0%..... no desktop, no login, no anything.
Reboot the pc and you should be good in a few minutes.
